Finally, the New generation Toyota Corolla (2014) has been launched in Mauritius by Toyota Mauritius limited .
The new car gets a 1600 cc engine and CVT gear box (with 7-speed automatic transmission). The launching price (2014) is Rs 1,223,400 duty paid and Rs 847,399 on 100% Duty free. We do not know yet if later on Toyota Mauritius will bring a manual transmission version and a 1500 cc engine. In Europe, the new Corolla engine ranges from a 1330 cc petrol engine to a 1600 cc diesel one.
